RAMALLAH, May 22, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists dawn on Friday vandalized property in the Burqa village, east of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to local sources.
They said that colonists attacked a home and a vehicle in the village, shattering their windows, and closed the main village entrance.
Meanwhile, colonists took over a Palestinian expatriate’s home in Turmus Ayya town, northeast of Ramallah, broke inside, stole its contents, and set up a tent nearby.
The vandals denied Palestinian farmers access to their land in the eastern part of the village, and harvested the crops.
Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
