KHAN YOUNIS, May 21, 2026 (WAFA) – A Palestinian was killed and several others were injured on Thursday evening after an Israeli airstrike targeted a tent sheltering displaced civilians in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
WAFA correspondent reported that the strike hit a tent housing displaced families in the coastal area of Al-Mawasi, which has hosted tens of thousands of Palestinians forced to flee other parts of the enclave during the ongoing Israeli aggression.
Medical sources reported that one civilian was killed in the attack, while several others sustained injuries of varying severity.
