Palestinian child banned from Al-Aqsa Mosque for six months

JERUSALEM, May 20, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli authorities banned on Wednesday a Palestinian child from Jerusalem from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.

The Jerusalem Governorate reported that Israeli authorities issued a decision banning Ragheb Majed al-Ja’ba from the Al-Aqsa Mosque for six months, his trial examinations as a student at Riyad Al-Aqsa Secondary School, located inside the mosque.  

This decision is part of as a systematic Israeli policy aimed at banning Palestinian from Jerusalem from accessing the holy site in an effort to reduce the presence of worshippers and locals.
