BEIRUT, May 18, 2026 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation army issued an evacuation warning today for residents of the villages of Harouf, Burj al-Shamali, and Dabaal in southern Lebanon.

Several villages were subjected to shelling by Israeli warplanes and artillery, resulting in damage to homes and infrastructure. This coincided with the overflight of Israeli drones in the skies over southern Lebanon.

Israeli warplanes and artillery targeted the towns of Doueir, Deir Amas, Harouf, Deir al-Zahrani, Majdal Selm, Tibnin, Kfar Tibnit, and Halta in southern Lebanon.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced yesterday that the death toll from the Israeli aggression since March 2 until May 17 had risen to 2,988 martyrs and 9,210 wounded.
