BETHLEHEM, May 18, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces stormed the village of Al-Walaja, northwest of Bethlehem, on Monday, amid heavy military reinforcements, and positioned themselves at the village's main entrance near the Grand Mosque.
Khader Al-Araj, head of the Al-Walaja village council, told WAFA correspondent that Israeli bulldozers began paving roads and demolishing stone walls in the mountainous Khallat Al-Hussein area, with the aim of reaching a residential area there. He did not provide further details.
Later, Israeli bulldozers began demolishing the ground floor of a residential building under construction belonging to Ahmed Nasr Abu Al-Teen in the same area.
