JERUSALEM, May 16, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation police detained on Saturday night several Jerusalemites, including children, following a colonists’ attack in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem.

The Jerusalem Governorate said that Israeli police detained a 16-year-old from the Old City of occupied Jerusalem after colonists attacked him and other citizens, noting that he suffers from health problems and requires regular medical follow-up and medication.

Israeli police also detained several other Jerusalemites, including a 64-year-old man, after colonists assaulted him inside his shop in the Old City.

A 15-year-old was also detained from the Old City, despite being injured in the head as a result of the colonists’ attack, before being later released.
