JERUSALEM, May 11, 2026 (WAFA) – The Ministry of Health announced the killing of a young man identified as Ayman Rafiq Muhammad al-Hashlamoun, 30, who was shot by Israeli occupation forces in Qalandiya refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem.
The Ministry of Health stated in a press release that it had been informed by the General Authority for Civil Affairs of al-Hashlamoun's killing.
Al-Hashlamoun was shot by Israeli forces during a raid on Qalandiya refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem.
The Jerusalem Governorate said that Israeli forces stormed the vocational training institute opposite the camp and fired a barrage of tear gas, stun grenades, and live ammunition, resulting in al-Hashlamoun being shot in the head. His condition was described as critical. Palestinian ambulance crews were prevented from reaching him, and he was later pronounced dead.
In a subsequent development, Israeli occupation forces fired live ammunition directly at journalists during a raid on the vicinity of the institute, while simultaneously detaining a number of young men inside.
They also closed the main road adjacent to Qalandiya refugee camp in both directions, preventing the passage of vehicles.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its crews treated a 15-year-old boy who was injured by a rubber-coated bullet inside Qalandiya refugee camp.
