RAMALLAH, May 7, 2026 (WAFA) – A Palestinian on Thursday evening sustained an injury by Israeli army fire in Dura al-Qar' town, north of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to local sources.
They said that a convoy of Israeli army vehicles stormed the town, and the soldiers unleashed barrages of tear gas and concussion bombs towards the inhabitants.
Confrontations ensued, during which the soldiers fired live ammunition, hitting a young man with a live round.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that its paramedics provided first-aid treatment to a casualty who sustained a live round injury in the abdomen before rushing him to a hospital.
Meanwhile, the occupation forces physically assaulted a young man at the Jabara military checkpoint, also known as the al-Kafriyat checkpoint, south of Tulkarm.
The PRCS said that a 33-year-old man, identified as a resident of Tulkarm City, was handed over to its crews after being severely beaten up by Israeli soldiers while working near the checkpoint.
It added that after assaulting him, the soldiers held the man for long hours before moving him to the ‘Anabta/'Einav military checkpoint, east of Tulkarm, and handing him over to Palestinian paramedics.
The casualty was eventually rushed to the Thabet Thabet Government Hospital in a stable condition.
