JERUSALEM, May 3, 2026 (WAFA) – A Jerusalemite resident was forced on Sunday to vacate his home in the town of Sur Baher, south of Jerusalem, in preparation for its self-demolition, following a decision by the Israeli occupation municipality to demolish the house under the pretext of building without a permit.
The Jerusalem Governorate said that citizen Mohammad Omar Mashahra was forced to evacuate his 110-square-meter home, which has been inhabited since 2018 by him, his wife, and their four children.
It added that the occupation municipality imposed fines totaling 70,000 shekels on Mashahra, who had received the demolition order a month earlier and was re-notified two days ago to immediately carry out the demolition.
