Israeli colonists release livestock, damage olive trees in Masafer Yatta

HEBRON, May 2, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists attacked Palestinian-owned land in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, on Saturday, releasing their livestock and uprooting and damaging around 30 olive trees.

Anti-settlement activist Osama Makhameh told WAFA that colonists from the Karmiel settlement and surrounding outposts, built on Palestinian land in Masafer Yatta, released their livestock, under the protection of Israeli forces, onto Palestinian land and uprooted and damaged 30 olive trees in Khirbet Rajoum Ali, belonging to Mahmoud Ibrahim al-Adra.

In a separate incident, colonists, also under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, released their livestock onto Palestinian land in the Hamroush area, east of the town of Sa'ir, northeast of Hebron, and destroyed Palestinian crops.

Residents of the villages, hamlets, and Bedouin communities in Masafer Yatta and the town of Sa'ir called on local and international organizations to protect them and stop the attacks by Israeli forces  and colonists against residents, herders, their land, homes, and property.
