Israeli occupation forces detain 36 Palestinians in West Bank raids, including one in East Jerusalem

 

WEST BANK, April 30, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained 35 Palestinian citizens across several areas of the occupied West Bank on Thursday, during a series of raids and house searches.

In Nablus, Israeli forces detained five citizens after storming the city and raiding homes in several neighborhoods and refugee camps, including Askar and Balata camps. The detainees included three brothers, a young man from Krum Ashour area, and another from the Balata refugee camp east of the city.

In Idhna town, west of Hebron, the occupation forces detained 11 citizens after storming the town, raiding and searching several homes, and tampering with their contents. Forces also raided several neighborhoods in Hebron city and Sa’ir town to the north, where military checkpoints were set up, and vehicles were stopped and searched.

In Tulkarm, a young man was detained after the occupation forces stormed his home in the Dhannaba suburb east of the city.

In Ramallah and al-Bireh, four citizens were detained during raids on al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah, and Birzeit town.

In Tubas, a young man from Aqaba town was detained after being summoned for interrogation at Salem military camp.

In Qalqilya, three young men were detained after Israeli forces stormed the city, raided several neighborhoods, and searched homes.

In Bethlehem, a young man was also detained after his home was stormed and searched.

In Jerusalem, Israeli police detained a young man from Silwan town, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and confiscated his vehicle. The police forces, accompanied by municipal teams, had earlier stormed the Bustan neighborhood in Silwan, set up a military checkpoint, and issued fines to vehicles.
