Dozens suffocate from tear gas during Israeli forces’ raid on Hebron-area town

HEBRON, April 27, 2026 (WAFA) – Dozens of Palestinian residents suffocated on Monday evening after inhaling tear gas fired by Israeli occupation forces during a raid on the town of Idhna, west of Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank.

WAFA correspondent reported that confrontations broke out in the town, during which Israeli forces fired live and rubber-coated bullets, sound bombs, and tear gas canisters at residents, causing dozens of suffocation cases that were treated in the field.

The occupation forces also raided the Qizun neighborhood in Hebron city, assaulted citizens, and damaged several vehicles.
