JERUSALEM, April 27, 2026 (WAFA) – For more than 15 hours, Israeli occupation forces have continued their ongoing raid on Qalandia refugee camp and the towns of Al-Ram and Kafr Aqab, north of occupied Jerusalem, detaining more than 35 Palestinians and carrying out widespread searches and property damage.
The Jerusalem Governorate said the forces have been conducting raids since early dawn, storming homes, forcing residents out, and turning several houses into military outposts amid heavy deployment and drone activity.
It added that several injuries were reported, including live-fire injuries, beatings, and cases of tear gas inhalation, as Israeli forces fired live ammunition and gas canisters inside residential neighborhoods.
The offensive included mass detentions and field interrogations inside homes, along with the closure of roads and entrances, bringing daily life in the affected areas to a near-complete halt.
Authorities also said that demolition notices were issued against dozens of residential and commercial structures in the area, in parallel with the ongoing military escalation.
The raid is still ongoing, with additional military reinforcements deployed, according to the statement.
