RAMALLAH, April 25, 2026 (WAFA) – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi stressed the importance of the full implementation of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, ensuring the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid and the immediate commencement of the Strip's reconstruction.
In a speech marking the 44th anniversary of Sinai Liberation Day, the Egyptian president said that the Middle East is going through a critical and decisive period and is witnessing attempts to reshape its map under the pretext of extremist ideologies.
He also reiterated his country's firm rejection of any attempts to displace Palestinians under any circumstances, calling for an end to the repeated attacks in the West Bank and for the protection of the Palestinian people's rights and dignity.
