JORDAN VALLEY, April 23, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces barred on Thursday dozens of Palestinian teachers from reaching schools at the Tayasir checkpoint in the northern Jordan Valley.
Azmi Balawneh, the director of education in Tubas, reported Israeli troops prevented around 100 male and female teachers from reaching their schools in villages across the area.
He added that Israeli troops obstructed the teachers' access to the schools before completely shutting down the checkpoint to civilian traffic, forcing them to turn back and preventing them from reaching their workplaces.
