TULKARM, April 21, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday evening carried out raids in the village of Shuweika, north of Tulkarm, and the town of Anabta to the east, while deploying extensively across the city, according to local sources.
Sources reported that several military vehicles stormed Shuweika, patrolling its main streets amid a heavy military presence across multiple neighborhoods.
The occupation soldiers chased young men, fired stun grenades, and closed the main road, obstructing the movement of citizens and vehicles. They also forced several shop owners to shut their stores at gunpoint.
In Tulkarm city, the occupation vehicles spread across various areas, particularly the eastern and western neighborhoods and the central market. Soldiers fired stun grenades and tear gas at citizens, raided several commercial buildings, seized their rooftops, and turned them into military observation posts. Live ammunition was heavily fired in Tulkarm refugee camp, which remains under tight siege.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces raided the town of Anabta, patrolling its main streets and distributing leaflets threatening residents with detention.
This comes amid continued escalation in the governorate, as the occupation’s aggression on the city and its two camps enters its 450th consecutive day.
