JERICHO, April 21, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Tuesday evening stormed the Bedouin community of Wadi Abu al-Hayyat, west of al-Auja town, north of the occupied West Bank city of Jericho, according to a watchdog organization.
Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights said that colonists broke into the community, roamed between dwellings, and threatened the community members, all identified as members of Arab al-Kaabneh clan.
It added that colonists herded their camels in Palestinian farmers’ orchards in the area, causing damage.
Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
