JERUSALEM, April 21, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Tuesday, under heavy protection from Israeli occupation forces.
Local sources reported that dozens of colonists stormed the mosque's courtyards, raising the Israeli flag and performing provocative Talmudic rituals inside.
The sources added that groups affiliated with the so-called "Temple Mount" movement have circulated incitement calls to mobilize settlers to storm the Al-Aqsa Mosque and raise the Israeli flag in its courtyards, particularly next Wednesday, under the pretext of what they call "Independence Day."
The Jerusalem Governorate warned of the seriousness of these incursions, considering them a direct attack on the sanctity of the mosque and an attempt to impose a Judaizing reality by force.
