TULKARM, April 20, 2026 (WAFA) - Israeli occupation forces detained a young Palestinian man and his sister on Monday after assaulting them, along with their father and brother, during a prolonged raid on the town of Anabta, east of Tulkarm, according to local sources.
Sources reported that the occupation forces detained Mo’men Ghaleb Mazid and his sister Diana after raiding their home, ransacking its contents, and beating Mo’men, his father, and his brother.
Since the early morning hours, the occupation forces had launched a wide-scale raid on the town of Anabta that lasted about 12 hours, with heavy deployment of military vehicles and infantry units across various neighborhoods and streets.
The occupation forces carried out a large-scale detention campaign in the town, targeting dozens of residents, most of them former detainees, after raiding and searching their homes, vandalizing their contents, and physically assaulting young men.
They also seized the home of a local resident, turning it into a military barracks and a field interrogation center after forcing its residents to leave.
In addition, the occupation forces detained a Palestine TV crew, subjected them to search and interrogation, and forced them to leave the town.
