TULKARM, April 20, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces launched a large-scale detention campaign in the early hours of Monday morning, targeting dozens of Palestinians during an ongoing military incursion into the town of Anabta, east of Tulkarm.

Local sources said that the occupation forces carried out a widespread detention campaign targeting dozens of Palestinians, most of whom were former prisoners, after raiding their homes, searching them, vandalizing their contents, and assaulting them.

The sources added that the occupation forces seized the home of Shawkat Abdel-Dayem and converted it into a military barracks and field interrogation center after forcing its residents to evacuate.

Meanwhile, the Directorate of Education announced the suspension of classes in the town's schools for the day due to the ongoing situation, which is still taking place.
