RAMALLAH, 19 April 2026 (WAFA) -The Ministry of Finance and Planning announced on Sunday that public employees’ salaries for January 2026 will be partially disbursed tomorrow, Monday, at a fixed amount of 2,000 shekels (approximately $335) for all civil and military public sector employees across all grades and ranks, due to the continued Israeli withholding of clearance revenues.
In light of the continued full withholding of clearance revenues by Israel for the twelfth consecutive month, alongside declining local revenues as a direct reflection of the regional conflict and difficulties in securing additional bank loans, the ministry said it has, over recent weeks and under highly complex financial conditions, worked to mobilise all available resources to facilitate the payment of the highest feasible percentage of salaries.
It added that these efforts resulted in securing a payment of 2,000 shekels as an advance on the January 2026 salary, which will be disbursed on Monday, April 20, 2026.
The ministry affirmed that accumulated salary entitlements will remain due to employees and will be disbursed when financial conditions permit.
