Kuwait condemns Ben-Gvir's storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque

KUWAIT, April 7, 2026 (WAFA) – The State of Kuwait condemned on Tuesday the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound by the extremist Israeli minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.

In a statement, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed "the State of Kuwait's condemnation and denunciation of the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound by a minister in the Israeli occupation government, under the protection of the occupation forces, in a grave violation of international law and international humanitarian law."

The Ministry affirmed "the State of Kuwait's categorical rejection of all provocative practices that affect the existing legal and historical status quo in Jerusalem and its holy sites," reiterating its call on the international community to assume its responsibilities to stop these violations.

The Ministry also reaffirmed "the State of Kuwait's firm and unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, foremost among them the establishment of their independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital."
