GAZA, April 7, 2026 (WAFA) – For the 180th consecutive day, the Israeli occupation army continues its repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement that went into effect on October 11 in the Gaza Strip, through artillery and naval bombardment and heavy gunfire targeting several areas in the Strip.
The attacks included the demolition of homes and the targeting of shelters for displaced persons, in addition to tightening the siege and imposing restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid through the Rafah crossing.
Occupation military vehicles also fired heavily east of Gaza City, coinciding with artillery shelling that targeted the Zeitoun neighborhood, as well as artillery strikes east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, the World Health Organization announced the suspension of medical evacuations from the Gaza Strip to Egypt via the Rafah crossing until further notice, following the death of one of its contractors. This further complicates patients' access to treatment outside the Strip and exacerbates the suffering of the wounded and sick in light of the difficult humanitarian conditions.
