Qalqilya, April 7, 2026 (WAFA) – An elderly Palestinian woman, Sabriya Amin Shamasneh, 68, died early Tuesday morning after suffering a heart attack during an Israeli military raid on her home in the town of Jayyous, east of Qalqilya.

Medical sources said that Shamasneh suffered a sudden heart attack during the raid and was rushed to Darwish Nazzal Governmental Hospital in Qalqilya, where she was pronounced dead.

Local sources stated that Israeli forces stormed the town around 2:00 AM from its eastern entrance and raided several homes, including that of her husband, Walid Mustafa Shamasneh.

The sources added that the occupation forces stormed the house courtyard and tried to enter by force, which caused panic among the residents, as the elderly woman was surprised to find the soldiers in front of the door, and was subjected to severe shock and fear as a result of the screaming, before she fell to the ground and suffered a heart attack that killed her.
