Israeli drone strike on civilian vehicle in southern Lebanon leaves several killed

BEIRUT, March 28, 2026 (WAFA) – An Israeli drone strike targeted a civilian vehicle on Saturday in the area of Jezzine in southern Lebanon, leaving several people dead, including a woman.

According to WAFA correspondent, an Israeli drone struck a civilian car on al-Barad Road in Jezzine. The National News Agency reported that the attack resulted in multiple fatalities, including a woman. Israeli warplanes also carried out two additional airstrikes on the towns of Touline and Froun.

The Israeli army continues its attacks on several areas across southern Lebanon, resulting in deaths, injuries, and widespread destruction of buildings and infrastructure.

Earlier at dawn, Israeli warplanes carried out a strike on the Saint Therese area in the Dahiyeh district of Beirut.

The Israeli army also warned residents of seven southern villages to immediately leave and move north of the Zahrani River. The villages include Maachouk, Burj al-Shamali, Rashidieh, Deir Kifa, Qaqaiyat al-Jisr, Wadi Jilo, and Al-Bass.

Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling also targeted several towns in southern Lebanon, including Qalaouiyeh, Zrariyeh, Khiam, Froun, Qaqaiyat al-Jisr, Yater, Majdal Zoun, Tayr Harfa, Al-Qulayleh, Al-Hanniyeh, Arnoun, Al-Mansouri, Kafra, Tayri, and Bint Jbeil.
