GAZA, March 30, 2026 (WAFA) – Two Palestinian siblings were killed and several others were wounded, some critically, after Israeli forces opened fire in Gaza City.
Medical sources reported that the brothers, Fahmi Omar Qaddoum and Saed Omar Qaddoum, were shot dead east of the city, while others were wounded when Israeli military vehicles opened gunfire toward residential homes in the Shama'a area of the Old City.
Simultaneously, Israeli forces launched artillery shelling and tank fire targeting the eastern neighborhoods of Zeitoun, Shuja'iyya, and Tuffah in the city.
The number of fatalities since the ceasefire on October 11 has surged to 692, with more than 1,880 injuries reported. The bodies of 756 Palestinians have been retrieved over the same period.
Thousands of victims remain trapped under collapsed buildings or on the streets. However, emergency responders are struggling to reach them due to a lack of essential equipment for debris removal and rescue operations.
