UPDATE: Palestinian worker killed, 8 others injured as Israeli forces open fire on vehicles, cause overturns south of Hebron

HEBRON, March 25, 2026 (WAFA) – A Palestinian worker was killed, and eight others were injured on Wednesday evening when several vehicles they were traveling in overturned after being pursued and targeted with live fire by Israeli occupation forces and colonists in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its crews confirmed one killed and provided medical aid to three injured, including one wounded by live fire, after the occupation forces pursued vehicles carrying workers in the mountains of Masafer Yatta.

Activist Osama Makhamreh told WAFA that Israeli occupation forces and groups of colonists pursued several Palestinian vehicles between Umm al-Khair and Khirbet Fateh Sidra in Masafer Yatta, opening live fire on them. The chase led to several vehicles overturning, leaving one citizen killed and eight others injured, including one in critical condition.

Israeli forces are blocking local residents and volunteer teams from continuing search efforts for the missing and injured, while continuing to fire live bullets at them.
