RAMALLAH, March 23, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists set up a colonial tent near a stone quarry and concrete plant in the town of Taybeh, north of Ramallah, on Wednesday, in an attempt to shut down the facility and seize the land.
The owners of the facility reported that colonists have been preventing them and their workers from accessing the site for about a week. They pointed out that the area is classified as Area B, meaning it is supposed to be under Palestinian civil control, and that the facility holds official licenses.
They emphasized that their situation is dire, as they are being deprived of their livelihood.
The attack comes amidst escalating colonist violence against Palestinian property and facilities, aimed at pressuring residents and forcing them to leave their land.
The owners appealed to official bodies and human rights organizations for urgent intervention to stop such violations and enable them to resume their work. They warned of the repercussions of the continued closure of the facility on the workers and their families.
