RAMALLAH, March 23, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Monday evening conducted multiple raids in a cluster of villages to the north and east of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to security and local sources.
The occupying forces escorted colonists into an archaeological site in Sinjil, at a time when a convoy of army vehicles stormed Turmus Ayya, but no Palestinian was detained.
They also barged their way into al-Mughayyir village, where the gun-toting soldiers fired barrages of tear gas canisters, resulting in several suffocation cases.
The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
These raids are conducted without a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses, in keeping with its sweeping, arbitrary powers.
Under Israeli military law, army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
