Occupation forces close main Ramallah–Nablus road to secure colonists’ marches, causing severe traffic disruptions

RAMALLAH, March 22, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces closed on Sunday evening the main road connecting the cities of Ramallah and Nablus in both directions, under the pretext of securing marches by colonists in the area, causing severe traffic congestion, according to local sources.

Sources reported that the closure affected the road near the town of Al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya, preventing the passage of vehicles, while traffic was diverted to alternative routes through the town.

The occupation forces also closed the road leading to Za’tara junction, disrupting the movement of residents along this vital route linking the northern and central West Bank.

The sources confirmed that such measures are repeatedly carried out by the occupation to secure colonists’ movements, restricting Palestinian residents’ mobility and disrupting their daily lives.
