JENIN, March 22, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces set up a military checkpoint on Sunday evening at the entrance to the village of Kufeirit, south of Jenin, obstructing the movement of Palestinian residents in the area, according to local sources.
Sources reported that the checkpoint hindered the movement of residents, particularly between Kufeirit and the nearby town of Ya’bad, forcing people to use alternative routes to avoid delays.
Police vehicles were also deployed along the roads, where they searched vehicles leaving the town of Ya’bad and issued fines.
These measures come as part of the ongoing imposition of strict restrictions by occupation forces on residents’ movement in Jenin governorate, increasing their hardship and complicating their daily movement.
