JERUSALEM, March 22, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation authorities today, Sunday, handed a Jerusalemite family a forced eviction order for two apartments in the East Jerusalem town of Silwan, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Jerusalem Governorate reported that occupation forces stormed the Batn al-Hawa neighborhood in the town and served the Basbous family with a final eviction order for the two apartments.

Batn al-Hawa is witnessing a serious escalation in seizure and forced eviction operations as part of a broad colonization plan aimed at changing the area’s demographic character and imposing a reality of Judaization by force, in blatant violation of international law and international legitimacy resolutions.
