HEBRON, March 21, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained an elderly Palestinian on Saturday in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron in the southern West Bank, according to local sources.
Anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamreh told WAFA that Israeli forces detained Mahmoud Hussein Al-Hamamdeh, an elderly resident of Al-Mufaqara village in the region. The forces also briefly detained a foreign activist and several residents following an attack by Israeli colonists on shepherds in the village.
He added that Israeli forces fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters at residents, with no injuries reported.
