Colonists vandalize school near Nablus

NABLUS, March 20, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Friday vandalized a school in Al-Lubban Ash-Sharqiya village, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to local sources.

They said that colonists broke into the local girls’ school after smashing the main door, and carried out acts of vandalism, including breaking a Palestinian flagpole, resulting in material damage.

Samer Al-Jamal, Director-General of Education in Southern Nablus, called for urgent intervention to halt colonists’ attacks and ensure the protection of educational institutions.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
