Israeli forces tighten restrictions on entry to Ibrahimi Mosque

HEBRON, March 20, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Friday tightened the restrictions on the entry of Palestinians to the Ibrahimi Mosque in the occupied West Bank city of Hebron, according to local sources.

They said that the occupying forces enforced tighter restrictions in the vicinity of the mosque, preventing thousands of Palestinian worshippers from entering the mosque to perform Eid prayers.

They added that only 50 worshippers were allowed access to the mosque, while the rest were forced to pray outdoors.

Taking advantage of the ongoing war on Iran, the occupation forces had closed the mosque for 14 consecutive before reopening it and imposing tightened entry restrictions.
