912 killed since start of Israeli assault on Lebanon

BEIRUT, March 17, 2026 (WAFA) – The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health announced on Tuesday that the total death toll since the start of the Israeli assault on March 2 has risen to 912, with 2,221 others injured.

In its daily report, the ministry said that 26 people were killed and 80 others injured during the past 24 hours.

Israeli warplanes continue to carry out airstrikes across several areas of Lebanon, particularly targeting towns in southern Lebanon and the southern suburb of Beirut.

Earlier, the ministry reported that one person was killed and nine others injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting the airport road in the capital, Beirut.

According to the National News Agency, one person was killed and another injured when an Israeli drone struck a vehicle between the towns of Aabba and Jebchit in southern Lebanon. Israeli warplanes also destroyed a residential building in the town of Toul.

Another person was reported killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a vehicle in the town of Al-Sultaniyah.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese Armed Forces announced that a soldier was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Nabatieh, which also injured five other soldiers.
