SALFIT, March 16, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Monday vandalized a Palestinian-owned agricultural shed between Az-Zawiya and Rafat towns, west of the occupied West Bank city of Salfit, according to local sources.
They said that colonists sabotaged an agricultural shed and fenced off over 500 dunums of Palestinian-owned farmland as a prelude to taking it over for the colonial settlement expansion.
The vandals came from a nearby pastoral colonial outpost.
Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
