JERUSALEM, March 16, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli tax authorities, accompanied by Israeli forces, conducted raids on several commercial establishments on Monday in the Wadi Qaddum neighborhood of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque, according to local sources.

Sources reported that tax officials raided multiple shops in the area, inspecting premises and scrutinizing business documents under heavy protection from Israeli forces deployed throughout the neighborhood.

The sources added that the operation heightened tensions in Wadi Qaddum, amid ongoing restrictive measures targeting merchants and shop owners in Silwan.
