Colonists beat up, injure Palestinian shepherd, attempt to steal sheep north of Salfit

SALFIT, March 16, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists beat up and injured a Palestinian shepherd on Monday in the town of Qarawat Bani Hassan, west of Salfit, according to local sources.

Sources told WAFA that a group of colonists attacked the shepherd, identified as Fawzat Fayez Rayan, while he was grazing his sheep north of the town, and attempted to steal the sheep before local Palestinian youths intervened.

The sources added that this was not the first such incident, noting that colonists are present in the area almost daily in attempts to prevent farmers and shepherds from accessing their agricultural lands.
