Colonists release livestock into Palestinian farmland in Masafer Yatta, damaging crops

HEBRON, March 16, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists released livestock into Palestinian agricultural lands in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, on Monday, causing damage to crops, according to a local anti-settlement activist.

Osama Makhameh told WAFA that colonists from outposts illegally built on Palestinian-owned land in Masafer Yatta released their livestock into farmers’ fields in the areas of Rujum A’ali and Khallet Amira, causing damage to cultivated crops.

Colonists from the illegal outpost of Susya also released cattle into Palestinian lands in the Tel Ma’in area of the town of Yatta.

In a related development, Israeli forces detained a young man in the Masafer Yatta area after colonists chased farmers from their fields. He was taken to an unknown location.
