GAZA, March 16, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli bombardment killed Monday afternoon one Palestinian and wounded others north of Gaza City, according to Al-Shifa Hospital.
It confirmed that the body of one slain Palestinian and several casualties arrived at the hospital following an Israeli airstrike that targeted a group of civilians in the Al-Safatawi neighborhood north of Gaza City.
Since the ceasefire agreement went into effect at noon on 10 October 2025, the occupation forces have killed 672 Palestinians and injured 1,754 others. The bodies of 756 Palestinians have been retrieved over the same period.
Israel has waged a military onslaught on the Strip since October 2023, killing 72,247 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring 171,878 others.
Thousands of victims remain trapped under collapsed buildings or on the streets. However, emergency responders are struggling to reach them due to a lack of essential equipment for debris removal and rescue operations.
