GAZA, March 15, 2026 (WAFA) – Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced Sunday evening the martyrdom of eight Palestinians and the injury of others as a result of an Israeli airstrike targeting a vehicle on Salah al-Din Street in the central Gaza Strip.
WAFA correspondent said that the bodies of the eight slain people were taken to the morgue of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.
He also confirmed the killing of Nael Bassam al-Barawi, who succumbed to wounds he sustained in an Israeli airstrike that targeted civilians several days ago in the al-Katiba area, west of Gaza City.
Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced earlier today that the death toll from the Israeli offensive on the Strip has risen to 72,239 and 171,861 others were wounded since the start of the offensive on October 7, 2023.
The sources explained that Gaza Strip hospitals received 13 slain people in the past 24 hours (11 new slain people and two who succumbed to their injuries), in addition to eight wounded.
They indicated that the total number of slain people since the ceasefire on October 11 has risen to 663, while the total number of injuries has reached 1,762, in addition to the recovery of 756 bodies.
The same sources added that a number of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense teams have been unable to reach them so far.
