HEBRON, March 13, 2026 (WAFA) – A six-year-old girl was injured on Friday after being deliberately run over by an Israeli colonist in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, according to local sources.
Osama Makhamereh, a local activist, told WAFA that a colonist from the colonial Israeli settlement of Karmei Tzur intentionally ran over the child, Sewar Al-Hathalin, while she was playing outside her home in Khirbet Umm al-Khair, a herding community in the region. She sustained head injuries and was transported by Red Crescent teams to a nearby hospital.
In a related incident, a group of armed colonists attacked Palestinian homes in the Hamroush area of Sa’ir town, east of Hebron, firing live rounds. Israeli forces subsequently raided the area to protect the colonists, firing tear gas grenades at residents who tried to confront them. No injuries or detentions were reported.
