NABLUS, March 13, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces intensified their military restrictions around the city of Nablus on Friday morning, causing severe disruptions for Palestinian commuters.
Local sources reported that the occupation forces closed the the Deir Sharaf and Al-Murabba'a checkpoints west and south of the city, resulting in massive traffic congestion and leaving thousands of residents stranded for hours overnight.
The forces also closed the Burin Gate south of Nablus, as well as the Huwwara Gate, and prevented exit from the city via the Awarta military checkpoint.
At Beit Furik checkpoint, east of Nablus, troops conducted thorough vehicle inspections and identity checks, causing long delays as the checkpoint was closed for several hours.
Sources added that the entrances to several villages east of Nablus were also closed, isolating them from surrounding areas and from each other.
