Two Palestinians killed by Israeli forces near Za’tara junction south of Nablus

NABLUS, March 12, 2026 (WAFA) – Two Palestinians were killed on Thursday evening by Israeli forces’ gunfire near the Za’tara junction, south of the city of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

The Ministry of Health said it was informed by the General Authority of Civil Affairs that Mamoun Badawi Rashdan, 25, and Mohammad Ali Rashdan, 24, were shot and killed by Israeli forces, which are also withholding their bodies. Both men were from the village of Einabus.

WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli forces opened fire at a vehicle carrying the two men as it was passing near the Za’tara junction south of Nablus.

Following the incident, Israeli forces closed several military checkpoints and gates surrounding the city of Nablus, including Awarta, Al-Murabba’a, Deir Sharaf, and the gates of Huwwara, while tightening measures at others. The closures caused severe traffic congestion and prevented thousands of citizens from reaching their cities, villages, and homes.
