JERUSALEM, March 10, 2026 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation municipality in Jerusalem forced Palestinian resident Nidal Abu Sirriya to demolish his own home in the Beit Hanina neighborhood of occupied East Jerusalem on Tuesday, under the pretext of building without a permit.
The Jerusalem Governorate reported that the house, which is approximately 41 square meters and houses six people, was built about four years ago. The Governorate noted that the occupation authorities force Palestinians to demolish their own homes to avoid paying exorbitant fines that would be imposed if the municipality carried out the demolition.
