TUBAS, March 9, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Monday evening fenced off Palestinian-owned pasture land near Al-Aqaba village, east of the occupied West Bank city of Tubas, according to a human rights activist.
Aref Daraghmeh said that colonists started enclosing dozens of donums of pastures by a fence near the village.
He added that six Palestinian families had been forced to leave their dwellings near the village due to ongoing colonist attacks.
Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
