JERICHO, March 9, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Monday rustled livestock belonging to Palestinians in the Halq E-Rumaneh community, west of the occupied West Bank city of Jericho, according to Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights.
It said that colonists broke into the community and stole a significant number of sheep, inflicting material losses on the inhabitants who rely on livestock as their main source of income.
It called for an end to recurrent colonist attacks on Bedouin communities in the Jordan Valley and for protection for the inhabitants.
Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
