Israeli forces fatally shoot Palestinian east of Gaza

GAZA, March 6, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Friday fatally shot a Palestinian in Shuja'iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, according to WAFA correspondent.

He reported that the occupation forces opened live fire at a person on the Salah ad-Din street, killing him.

Since the ceasefire agreement went into effect at noon on 10 October 2025, the occupation forces have killed 636 Palestinians and injured 1,704 others. The bodies of 753 Palestinians have been retrieved over the same period.

Israel has waged a military onslaught on the Strip since October 2023, killing 72,121 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring 171,802 others.

Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
