Israeli forces continue construction of colonial road east of Tammun, south of Tubas

TUBAS, March 5, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces continue the construction of a colonial road east of the town of Tammun, located to the south of  the occupied West Bank city of Tubas.

Mu'taz Bisharat, the official in charge of settlement affairs in the Tubas Governorate, said that Israeli troops raided the Atouf area resumed construction of the colonial road in the region, while farmers were barred from accessing their agricultural lands in the targeted area.

The gun-toting soldiers began constructing the road two months ago, as part of a larger project to build a separation wall extending from the Ein Shibli checkpoint toward the Tayasir checkpoint, east of Tubas.

He also noted that, at the end of last year, Israeli authorities issued notices to seize  approximately 1,042 dunams of Palestinian land to pave the way for the construction of a colonial road and the building of a colonial  wall, part of which will pass through the area.
